For our second day of road trippin', we went to Lake Tahoe! And since the Golden Gate was covered in fog our first day, we decided to drive via the Golden Gate.
Picture
No fog! So cool. By the way, for some reason I always thought they called it the Golden Gate Bridge because of its colour. And I always thought that was stupid, because it obviously isn't golden! Then I learned that the strait is actually called Golden Gate. *so stupid*

Coffee break in Sacramento!

Sacramento is the capital of the state of California so in this picture you see the California State Capitol building. Reminiscent of the US capitol, no? I think all governmental buildings should look like this!! :D

We went from palm trees in sunny Sacramento to snowy hills!!! :O There was also snow next to the roads still. Crazy. We literally could've gone skiing at one of the ski resorts if we wanted to!

And then we arrived in Lake Tahoe. <3

I think it was off season, because it was sooo quiet and peaceful. What an amazing setting, those mountains and pine trees and that ridiculously crystal clear water! (The water wasn't cold by the way, should've brought swimming clothes)
Lake Tahoe was hands down the most beautiful place we've been to this trip.
Picture
We crossed the state border into Nevada :D Ha! 5 states (6 if you count a bathroom break in Maryland) in one vacation!
Picture
Funny how right after the border you're immediately greeted with a bunch of casinos! But my fellow travellers weren't that fazed, as they've gotten used to it in Las Vegas :P

Went back to Kings Beach for early dinner at Jason's Beachside Grille.
Picture
We had a lot of burgers this vacation, but I thought this burger was the best of the bunch. But maybe that's because we had a lot of fast food chain burgers :P

Okay, so forget the meat for a second. The baby back ribs were fine.
But those fries. Those were honestly the best friees I've ever had, because I've never had beer battered fries before, and obviously all fries are better when they're beer battered. Oh my God. Thank you Jason's for introducing us to the most unhealthy but most delicious thing ever.

Then we had to say goodbye to Lake Tahoe. Next time we go back I want to go snowboarding!
