I love Paris, espesh during winter time. I usually avoid touristic activities on any holiday, but a boat tour on the Seine was part of the gift certificate my aunt gave me, so I went. And it was fun! We saw the sunset, the Eiffel tower and a lot of beautiful Parisian buildings.
Also visited the Louvre (which is free for students, yay). Huge, gorgeous and overwhelming, I must say. Everyone who wants to visit La Gioconda (Mona Lisa, duh), she's a bit disappointing. Although intriguing and beautiful, the painting is tiny and the crowd of people standing in front of it is ridiculously (although understandably) huge.
Signal must've sucked in olden days. =)
Must visit for every architecture lover is the wonderful Pavillon de l'Arsenal. It has this awesome permanent (and interactive) exhibition of the emergence and development of the city. Downstairs you can find this huge model of the city, upstairs are the temporary exhibitions and they sometimes display works of famous and less famous (French) architects. They also have a small but wonderful bookstore. The Pavillon is similar to the Building Centre in London, but a bit smaller.

Beautiful Notre Dame. During christmas they have this pretty nativity scene inside. And, if you're in the neighbourhood, also visit Shakespeare & Co, AWESOME little bookstore.
Christmas market was pretty big, but all the shops pretty standard. Didn't care though, love everything christmas.
Of course did some (christmas) shopping. Shops you can't miss:
* Delfonics Carrousel du Louvre 99, rue de Rivoli 7500 Paris
Originated in Tokyo, pretty and original stationery, cool gadgets. And also close to the Louvre, what more could anyone want?
* Mora 13 Rue Montmartre 75001 Paris
They sell everything you could possibly need for cooking and baking. Like chocolate pearls with a crispy inside. Or perfect madeleine molds.
* G. Detou 58 Rue Tiquetonne 75002 Paris
Hah, get it? J'ai de tout, I have everything. Close to Mora, and they sell every ingredient you could possibly think of. At least they claim they do. The shop is incredibly small though, I got pretty claustrophobic when I was there.
* Ladurée 75 avenue des Champs Elysées,75008 Paris (they have several shops)
Perfect macarons. Just perfect.
