Well actually, I didn't really know how. My friend Safira and I wanted to throw one (our birthdays were in September), so I just made a bunch of moustaches. There even was a PIN THE MOUSTACHE ON MARIO game. So here are the pics in Instagram (yeahh I'm one of 'those' people now). Oh and thank you Safira for all the delicious snacks (don't have pictures of those, we ate it all too fast)!
First you make a cake (devil's food cake + cherries + kirsch + chocolate ganache with armagnac)
Then you of course put a big moustache on it. And several little ones.
Decorate the house with homemade moustache garlands :)
Put moustaches on lamp shades.
Draw moustaches on all the balloons.
Make some cake decoration in the form of moustaches on a stick & moustache straws!
Hang moustaches everywhere. This one on the bathroom door says 'la salle de bain' :).
Doesn't look Mario weird without his moustache? Print out this game on A2 (or 4 A4's, like I did), make a moustache shaped blindfold and use sticky tack so you won't damage your walls or doors. Download the game here: http://www.squidoo.com/mario-bros-party
