A night out in The Hague

It was time for a spontaneous night out in the Hague! Grote Markt is a great place to be, a nice little square with lots cafes and bars. So obv we started off our night at Vavoom.

VaVoom is a tiki inspired cocktail bar with a laidback attitude towards life. The place is really small, but Vavoom hands down serves the best cocktails in town. Killer mai tai's, daiquiri's or amazing porn star martini's. But at €8 a cocktail a night out gets pretty expensive (most of us are still students ya know), and since we were sitting outside because the place is so small, we quickly moved over to Zeta next door.

I think the beer here is disgusting. So I stuck to some good ole martinis.

And then the most unbelievable thing happened.. They kicked us out at 1:30 am! So we went outside, only to find everything else closes at 1:30 am as well. WTF The Hague? Saturday night? Are you kidding me (I really haven't been to Grote Markt in a long time, haven't I?)? And you had to pay to get in to the club Supermarket, but we prefer to waste our money on more drinks instead of stupid entrance fees. Where to go, where to go?

So we finally settled for Havana. HA. I usually wouldn't be caught dead over there, but hey, what the heck? It was THE place to be when we were 16, so now that we're in our twenties, Havana seems pretty lame. I remember I had my first cocktail over there. But, it had this high school party vibe going on (even though most people here are well over 18), which was pretty fun. The women are dressed in tight pants and their best black spaghetti tops, and the men here are just downright creepy (all by themselves, checkin' out the laydeez). The music was mostly oldskool(Black Eyed Peas, Def Rhymz), so it really felt like we were at a high school party haha. It was all good fun! We danced the night away..

Yes, creepy looking men with scumbag moustaches will stare at you, but hey, it's nice to shake ya booty to bad music once in a while. So I was glad we went there anyway!
